It's been shocking over the years which things Padawan Learner remembers from his early travels and which he doesn't. The things I was SURE he would carry with him forever he has forgotten, but the things that were obviously going to be over his head or uninteresting to him he still remembers vividly nine or more years later. And why does every vacation we take have to be a forever memory. Why wouldn't we take children to children-oriented places for the mere Right Now joy of being a child?

As someone who took their 6 and 5 year olds to Denmark/Legoland, I totally agree. They still talk about it almost 10 years later!
